Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This page is for California residents who want to exercise their privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We’ve tried to make this as clear and straightforward as possible — no legal maze to navigate.
The Short Version
LetSox does not sell your personal information. We’ve never sold it, and we have no plans to start. But California law requires us to give you this page anyway, and we’re happy to do that. If you have any concerns about how your data is being handled, you can submit an opt-out request using the methods described below and we’ll take care of it.
Your Rights Under the CCPA
If you’re a California resident, the CCPA gives you several rights when it comes to your personal information:
The right to know what personal information we collect about you, where we got it, what we use it for, and whether we share it with anyone.
The right to delete your personal information that we’ve collected, with some exceptions required by law.
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information with third parties.
The right to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
The right to limit how we use any sensitive personal information, if applicable.
The right to not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We won’t charge you more, give you worse service, or deny you anything because you made a privacy request.
What Does “Selling” Mean Under the CCPA?
Under California law, “selling” personal information doesn’t just mean exchanging it for money. It also covers disclosing, releasing, or transferring personal information to a third party in exchange for anything of value — including non-monetary benefits.
To be clear about what we do and don’t do:
We do not sell your personal information for money to anyone. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do share limited information with service providers who help us run our business — like our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal), our fulfillment partner, our shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS), and analytics tools (Google Analytics). These providers only receive the data they need to do their specific job, and they’re contractually required to protect it. Under the CCPA, sharing data with service providers who act on our behalf is not considered a “sale.”
How to Submit an Opt-Out Request
Even though we don’t sell your personal information, you are always welcome to submit an opt-out request. We provide two ways to do this:
Email us directly at contact@letsox.com. Use the subject line “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” and include your full name and the email address associated with your account or order.
Submit a request through our contact form at https://letsox.com/contact/. Select the privacy-related topic and include “Do Not Sell” in your message.
You only need to use one of these methods. You don’t have to submit through both.
What Happens After You Submit a Request
Once we receive your opt-out request, here’s how the process works:
We’ll send you a confirmation email acknowledging that we received your request within 1 to 2 business days.
We may need to verify your identity before we can process it. This is to protect you — we want to make sure someone else isn’t making requests on your behalf without your knowledge. To verify, we’ll ask you to confirm details that match information we already have on file, such as your name, email address, or order history. We won’t ask for sensitive information like your Social Security number or full payment details.
After verification, we’ll process your request and respond with a detailed confirmation within 15 business days. In most cases, it’s faster than that. If we need more time, we’ll let you know and explain why. The maximum response window allowed by law is 45 business days, which can be extended by another 45 days in complex situations — but we don’t expect that to happen for a straightforward opt-out request.
Right to Non-Discrimination
This is important, so we want to be direct about it: exercising your CCPA rights will never result in any negative consequences from us. Specifically, we will not:
Deny you access to our products or services. Charge you a different price or rate. Provide you with a lower quality of service. Suggest that you’ll receive a different level of service for exercising your rights.
Your privacy rights are exactly that — your rights. Using them doesn’t change your relationship with us in any way.
Authorized Agents
You can designate someone else to submit a CCPA request on your behalf — what the law calls an “authorized agent.” If you go this route, we’ll need written proof that you’ve authorized that person to act for you, and we may still need to verify your identity directly.
A Few Important Notes
This page applies specifically to California residents and the rights provided under the CCPA. If you’re located outside California, our Privacy Policy at https://letsox.com/privacy-policy/ covers how we handle your data more broadly.
We may update this page from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our practices. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
The CCPA applies to for-profit businesses that meet certain thresholds — over $26.625 million in annual revenue, processing data of 100,000+ California residents, or deriving 50%+ of revenue from selling personal information. Regardless of whether we technically meet these thresholds, we provide this page and honor these rights because we believe transparency matters.
